Recall Florida
About the Film
“Recall Florida” begins as a road movie, following former U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno as she cruises the back roads and byways of Florida in her notorious red pick-up truck in her bid to become the state’s first female governor during the 2000 election campaign.
As Primary Day draws near, the Florida Democratic Party strenuously opposes Reno’s candidacy, and the documentary turns to an altogether different story about the right to vote and to have that vote counted.
“Recall Florida” takes the audience behind the scenes, into the nerve center of a grassroots political campaign, to provide a fascinating inside look at elections, and raise very serious questions about the process itself.
