“The Marion Lake Story” – Special Event

On Sunday, November 24, from 2-5 pm, Jezebel Productions is holding a fundraising event at Poquatuck Hall, 1160 Skipper’s Lane in Orient, NY. Our goal is to raise completion and distribution funds in order to launch our newest documentary film, ”The Marion Lake Story” by Emmy-Award winning director and east end local resident Greta Schiller.

This film tells a compelling tale of an ecological crisis averted: the degradation — and gradual restoration — of an 18-acre lake in East Marion being choked to death by the highly invasive reed, the australis phragmite.  The film follows a local community, led by Southold Town Person of the Year Lori Luscher, coming together to save the lake and restore it to a bio-diverse habitat for native flora and fauna.

Enjoy food and drink, live music, and a special preview screening of this inspirational new film.  And meet the “stars” of the film who pulled together to reverse an environmental crisis in our midst!
